Tampa Bay fishing report

Report Date: June 3, 2005

Fishing was delayed for a few days with numerous daily showers and thunderstorms. We took to the water on Friday and found mixed results. Starting off dock fishing we were taken by a couple snook that "snookered" us leaving us scratching our heads. We pulled in a keeper flounder and a smaller grouper and then moved to another dock. At the next dock we scored with one big grouper that broke us off and another big grouper that found his way into the box.

Then we made a move to look for tarpon. The tarpon weren't holding in the same pattern that they had before the storms. We gave it an honest effort and struck out and moved on to other territory. We fished some structure and got some nice bluefish and jack crevalle. We boxed another flounder and called it a day. While passing from one area to another we were treated to an awesome bald eagle sighting. The picture speaks for itself.

Just some of the awesome wildlife we see daily while fishing Tampa Bay!

Keep them rods bent!
