Tampa Bay fishing

Report Date: March 26, 2005

Fishing has really turned on here in Tampa Bay. Fishing on thursday yielded some nice oversized redfish from under the docks in residential canals. We also fished the grassflats and boated some nice speckled seatrout. Saturdays fishing produced several nice trout with snook and grouper mixed in at different locations of course. I fished a dock across from a well known boat ramp in the early morning and pulled a slot sized redfish out on a jig. The bait is really easy to obtain right now and that means we're onto the fishing quickly. The sheepshead fishing is still very good on the bridges leading out to the gulf. I'm seeing more and more mackerel out on the beach and grassflats. I still have some days left in April. Don't be left out on some of the years finest Tampa Bay fishing opportunities.
