Tampa fishing

Report Date: February 18, 2010

Today we started out fishing redfish around the shallow water flats. The redfish are there but they were extremely spooky in the clear shallow waters of Tampa Bay. We tried several times taking shots at fish that were sitting still in the grass using berkley gulp baits but the fish were just not interested. We tried fishing the seatrout but the water temp was still in the mid 50 degree range and the fish weren't in the normal areas I catch them or they were and just to cold to eat! We moved on and fished sheepshead and caught quite a few. The weather looks to be heating up next week so hopefully things are getting ready to come unglued!

Tight lines!
